Sugar Valley Airport (SVA) seeks to support aspiring pilots and aviation professionals in their career journey.
The Airborne Dreams Fund is supported mostly by volunteers, some pilots, some not, who “pay it forward” by endowing this fund. Many of those volunteers have themselves benefited from support or encouragement in their lives and want to create opportunities for others to succeed! The fund exists to offer financial assistance to deserving individuals pursuing a career pathway as a pilot, mechanic, air traffic controller, or other profession related to the field of aviation. These pathways can be expensive: the cost of a obtaining a private pilot's license generally averages $10,000. When an individual demonstrates significant potential and interest in their goals, Airborne Dreams can help reduce the financial barrier.
All applications are carefully reviewed and grants awarded to those who show the greatest potential to be actively engaged in aviation. It is those individuals, who with the support of a partner like Airborne Dreams, can move closer to success.
