Join us for Sugar Valley's annual Fly-In, Sep. 27, 2014! The theme is "How Aviation Serves the Community," and there will be exhibits, speakers, food and music! Details on this poster. See how much fun was had at the last fly-in and that can be anticipated this fall!
Aug. 28 brought another "WINGS Fling" to Sugar Valley. The program started with a tour of Billy Carter's hangar to see Stinson restoration, followed by a meal and 2 FAA Safety seminars. Watch for future programs!
Besides being a beautiful place to visit for friendly folks who love airplanes, the Aviation Center at Sugar Valley encourages flight training and careers in aviation. There are abundant resources at Sugar Valley for those looking to learn about aviation or hone the skills they already have. We are pilots helping each other become better pilots, while enjoying and supporting the unique general aviation community.

The 6/21/14 "Spring WINGS Fling" safety seminars and fly-in for pilots was a big success, as was the awarding of the FAA's Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award to WWII pilot and Piedmont Airlines leader H.K. "Zeke" Saunders.
Cadets from the Civil Air Patrol Sugar Valley Composite Squadron and other squadrons helped manage the flight line at the 2013 fly-in. Serving at fly-ins is just one of the many activities in which cadets can participate.
A major focus of the CAP unit at Sugar Valley is the Cadet Program for young people, ages 12 - 18. See additional information, as well as the cadets' perspective on the program.
